Search Engine Optimization Marketing Secrets

by TheMarketingProfessional

Did you know that Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short is not a secret language that only nerds know and exploit it to make thousands of dollars from needy marketers who can’t comprehend the importance of page rank?  The real deal is, there really are no SEO secrets just search engine optimization best practices and once you understand the fundamentals of optimizing a blog or website you can open up new avenues of traffic and search engine ranking that will improve your results and put a smile on your face.

To be serious for a moment a complete newbie can become quite overcome when even attempting to think about SEO but keep reading and I will explain how you can change all the frustration and turn it into jubilation. Proper blog and website optimization and backlinks is really what you need to learn and one of my favorite resources comes from StomperNet

One of the first things to do is to test the functionality of your blog or website to see how search engine friendly it is. You will need to check for things like keywords, HTML code, and what is contained in your meta tags.

If you apply sensible strategies on a regular basis then your rankings will begin to rise.

Here are some basic SEO Marketing Strategies:

* When you build a website  or blog consider the target market you wish to address. Your audience will dictate how your website promotes your particular product or service.  Additionally your keywords will influence this as well.

* Use relevant keywords that will apply to your target audience.  Keywords should be focused and laser targeted, instead of broad.  Broad keywords are very competitive and you dont want to be competing with a ton of other webmasters who will have more established sites and therefore always outrank you.

* Next, analyze what your competition is doing.  Check to find out who is ranked the highest and how they got achieved such high rankings.  Research to see what keywords they are using by looking at the page source of their site.

* Check things such as meta tags and titles. Your main keywords must be listed in both of these areas.  Article titles need to contain your main keyword and the content itself should at least use it and a variation of this keyword or phrase throughout the article.

Additonally, if you create links back to your blog or website this will greatly enhance your ranking position on the search engines.  One way links are a great way of doing this even if you don’t receive links back from another site.

My highest recomendation is to click on the banner above and start learning SEO for yourself.

On-page Search Engine Optimization Tips

by TheMarketingProfessional

When it comes to Search Engine Optimization I always stress the importance of having great content. Your content should be of interest to the entire community of your chosen niche, and not just a boring article.  However, no matter how mouth-watering your content is, if there is nobody to read it, it won’t make you a cent.

Traffic is the heart of your blog especially if you really want to make money with Google AdSense. In order to attract people, you must offer compelling information. However, to get traffic onto your site, you have to think backwards. For example, where do people look when they need information? Of course they search using search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN, to name just a few popular ones.

So, to attract the visitors you want to your blog, it must rank high on search result pages of the search engines. When people search for information through the search engines and see your site among the top results, they will naturally click through to your blog! The art of getting your blog or website ranking high on search result pages is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and it’s really not an art but more of a science.

For now, let’s determine the keywords that you want to optimize your site for. For instance, your blog says make money. Now, you’d want to check in Google whether it is a very competitive keyword. As of now, there are 227,000,000 search results. Do you think you can beat 227,000,000 sites at your first attempt? I doubt it.

Now, let’s try to narrow down our scope. Let’s look for “Make Money with Google AdSense” instead. Right now Google lists 3,440,000 results. That’s more manageable, but you’d like to search for more focused keywords. However, let’s optimize your blog to Make Money with Google AdSense just for the sake of learning.

For starters, you have to pay attention to the title of your blog. Since you’re optimizing to Make Money with Google AdSense you need to have that exact phrase in your blog title. For example, a line like “Learn How to Make Money with Google AdSense!” would work fine.

You can change the title of your blog in the Blogger control panel or the WordPress blog when you’re creating it. Your page heading should also contain the term you’re optimizing for. Additionally, you should ‘sprinkle’ the words “Google AdSense” into your blog posts whenever possible.

The frequency of that phrase in your blog keys the search engines that your blog is really relevant to that topic. However, always keep in mind that you’re writing for real life people who read your blog to obtain information, so it is very dumb to spam your blog with keywords! In fact, if you do that, the search engines will end up thinking you’re spamming and drop your ranking further down into oblivion. Hence write for humans, not search engines!

How to Use SEO to Make Money Online

by TheMarketingProfessional

Right now there are millions of websites on the internet and they are all in competetion with each other for your attention.  With that in mind, here are a few simple ways that you can get your site noticed by the search engines:

1) Learn more about Search Engine Optimization -

search engine optimization (SEO) is crucial to the ranking and findability of any website.  Search engines utilize keywords to be able to rank different sites, so it’s critically important that you take some time to learn a little bit about it.

Keyword phrases or keywords should make up one to four percent of any web page.  If your keywords don’t make sense or you use to many of them it is easier for them to not rank your site favorably and if you try to mislead them into believing that your website is done well and it’s not your search results placement will suffer as well.

2) Update your site or blog with fresh content -

By updating the content on your website on a regular basis your search rank should steadily rise and  your website visitors will have more reason to visit the site again and again. The more visitors that you can encourage to view your site, the better your search position will be.

3) Knowing the right keywords to choose -

Make sure that you choose the appropriate keywords when you are writing an article or blog post for your site. There are a multitude of free keyword tools on the internet. These tools can be very useful and will aid you in building a keyword list for your website.

Additionally, make certain that you use your keyword or words in the title of the page, and next to the ending. You can also add the keyword or words throughout the body of the article so that it reads naturally.

4) Hir or becoem an SEO Expert -

In case you do not have any spare time to learn how to make use of SEO methods you can hire the services of an SEO expert. You can also employ ghostwriters or freelance writers to write your web content for you. Plus, you can appoint an SEO company to develop your site.  It may cost you some money, but generally the amount is well worth it.

I prefer learning just enough to know what I need so that when I do hire other SEO professionals I do not get taken advantage of.
